The Iowa ADHD and Development Lab aims to provide an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating environment for all interested in learning more about the casual processes, correlates, and developmental outcomes associated with ADHD.   Our lab seeks to foster a culture grounded in mutual respect, humility, and appreciation for our joint labor and for our particiapnts who generously share their lives and perpsectives with us so that we can learn more about mental health.

The lab is directed by Dr. Molly Nikolas, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences and Director of Clinical Training of the Clinical Science PhD program.  The Iowa ADHD and Development Lab also provides a training context for clinical science doctoral students in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.  Graduate students are involved in designing and executing studies in the lab, writing manuscripts, presenting at conferences, and mentoring each other and undergraduate students. Our work would not be possible without our undergraduate research assistants - their efforts in working with participants to collect data and ensure the accuracy of the information we gather are paramount to our enterprise.  The lab aspires to be a home for undergraduates with diverse interests and career goals.  Prior RAs have gone on to a wide array of advanced degree programs, including doctoral programs in clinical, counseling, and school psychology, developmental psychology, social work, genetic counseling, medical school, and pharmacy school.
