Brendan Whitney, Ph.D. (he/him)
Brendan Whitney completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Science in 2024 following his internship training at the VA Madison Healthcare in Madison, WI. Brendan's in the Clinical Science PhD program participating in the behavioral-biomedical interface training program (BBIP). Brendan has interests in assessment of psychopathology, psychometrics, and internalizing psychopathology. He completed his dissertation research on the structure of withhin-person variability of internalizing spectrum psychopathology. Clinically, Brendan is interested in personality assessment and utilizing transdiagnostic treatment modalities for young adults experiencing internalizing disorders. Brendan joined the faculty in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences here at Iowa in Fall 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Instruction. His primary responsibilities are teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. We are very lucky to have Brendan return to us!
