Biography

Hana-May Eadeh is completed their PhD in the Clinical Science Program in 2023. Hana-May completed their internship at Hennepin Healthcare in Minnepolis, MN and is now a post-doctoral fellow at the Univeristy of Minnesota.  They are a former T32 predoctoral fellow on the behavioral-biomedical interface training program (BBIP). HHana-May is from Richmond, VA and they completed their B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Women's Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015. While at VCU, Hana-May worked as an undergraduate research assistant and then full-time research coordinator in Dr. Josh Langberg’s Promoting Adolescent School Success Lab.  Hana-May has broad interests in transdiagnostic processes that contribute to comorbidity in psychopathology.  In particular, they are interested in self-regulation, intersectional identity centrality, and contextual factors among emerging adults and those with LGBTQ+ identities and how those processes may enhance or attenuate risk for psychopathology.  

Hana-May received an Honorable Mention for their 2019 National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship and was a predoctoral fellow on the Biomedical-Behavioral Interface Program T32.  In 2020, they received the inaugural Erling Anderson Award for Excellence in Clinical Science in PBS.  In 2021, Hana-May received a Clinical Science Training Award from the Academy of Psychological Clincial Science and a Dissertation Research Award from the American Psychological Association.  Hana-May was also awarded the 2023 Spence-Lewis Prize for Excellence in Research in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.  Hana-May's clinical interests include mindfulness-based interventions and their application to addressing the mental health needs within the LGBTQ+ community. When not working, Hana-May enjoys hanging out with her cat, Bodhi, and hiking with her dog, Moose.
