Dr.  Leiana de la Paz completed her PhD in Clinical Science in 2026.  She completed her clinical internship at Oregon Health and Science University during the 2025-2026 training year.  Following graduation, she began a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California San Francisco in the Department of Psychaitry. During her time at Iowa, Dr. de la Paz was a T32 predoctoral fellow in the behavioral-biomedical interface training program (BBIP).  Dr. de la Paz also received the Lulu Merle Johnson Fellowship from the Graduate College at the University of Iowa.  Her research interests include examining the interactions between genes and environmental factors, such as parenting and the impact of psychosocial adversity on parenting and family relationships.  Her dissertation focused on bidirectional associations between parenting and ADHD symptoms measured over years as well as moments using ecological momentary assessment.
